T.C. Fly & The Fly Paper Gang Presents: Fly Paper Gang Super Producer Scottie Jax

Scottie Jax

Scottie Jax founder of Dappadan Everything, is a Hip-Hop artist/producer from Columbus, Ohio. Scottie fell in love with music and began writing lyrics at the age of 9 after being influenced by his older brother’s 7th grade friend who was a DJ and soon to be what Scott describes as his mentor. By the age of 11, Scottie bought his first pair of Turntables which he used to perform in a school talent show. Scottie started doing parties for people at a young age ,putting the “icing on the cake” by spinning unreleased records that he obtained after joining a record pool. At 12 years old, Scott began making rap beats on FL Studio [Fruity Loops back then] and began building a home studio with a recording booth when he was 15. Later that same year, Scottie performed as the opening act for a Stagga Lee concert with his high school friend Cuzz Flip. From 21 to 23,Scott composed his first 2 solo rap mixtapes. The mixtapes included features from guest appearances such as Max B, Styles P, French Montana, Trina, Freeway and Lil’ Scrappy. At 25 Scott released “The Hood MTV:Dappadan On Demand” webisode series on YouTube, ScottieJaxBeats.com, and his 2 video games “Dappadan Hustler” and “Dappadan RPG”. In late 2013 Scottie compiled a list of his best songs from a 5 year period and re-released his 2008 mixtape “Plan For Tomorrow”, a release prior to his 2014 project “Proud To Be Pathetic”. Scottie now serves the music industry full time with his new Scottie Jax Rap Beats service

Thikk Blood

Brandon Cunningham, b.k.a. B Flames and Drew Johns, b.k.a. Murda_ThikkBlood, both born and raised in Columbus Ohio. They formed the group Thikk Blood while doing time for cases they had caught. They saw different gangs, groups and organization and wanted to be different. Flames and Murda are both Bloods, but, didn’t like how most moved, so they sat down made rules, and came up with principles. Which is meant for us, how we take care of us and our family which is Thikk Blood. Thikk Blood is not what you would call a gang but more like family if you not taking care of your family how can you be thikkblooded. Real shit is what they give. B Flames is the head and Murda is the body. They move as one, their ways aren’t like anyone else’s. That’s what it means to be Thikkblooded. They take the same approach with their music Thikk Blood is here. Take notice

Ms.Rea handonhips pose

Hi. I am Ms. Rea, a 20 year old rapper/singer-songwriter from Columbus, Ohio. I enjoy writing all types of music with my main genre being pop. I find a lot of my inspiration in R&B and pop music as well as some pop-rock. I have been writing poetry and songs all of my life but, I actually discovered my rap skills accidentally. I started rapping the summer of ’09 after learning my talent and became a member of member of the group Shred Team. Shred Team started doing shows as a group during the summer of 2010- winter 2012. As a solo artist I am always looking for new ways to improve my performance skills. In 2012 I had the opportunity to be a part of The Female Takeover. 12 talented female artists from Columbus got together for a song, and it was a really fun experience. After The Female Takeover I have done features with a few of the ladies. Towards the end of 2012 I dropped my first mix tape entitled “Conceited”. I am currently writing songs for my upcoming album “To Be Continued”

Ms. Nikki J reports from Listening Party

Trek-Manifest-Nice-Guys-Finish-First

Exec Gang/Undfyned artist Trek Manifest hosted a listening session at Amerisound Studios for his new project, Nice Guys Finish First. As Devin Thomas, a father, teacher and soon-to-be husband by day, and Trek Manifest, the hip-hop artist by night, he’s put in countless hours mastering and perfecting his fourth project.

The listening session began with a warm thank-you to the supporters in the room and Trek explained how much his new project meant to him. Trek’s son and fiancé were present, handing out CD’s and greeting guests and Kingston, only 1, was nothing short from an extrovert and took dignity in his task as a helper. With his fellow Exec Gang artist and producer, Supanatra by his side, and sangria circulating around the studio, it was clear that they both were itching to debut the 13-track project. “This is the third time I’ve changed this [NGFF]”, Trek said. “I had one idea and we changed that one, then I wanted something more for the ladies and I changed that. Now this third time, 3 times a charm.”

NGFF intros with a monologue from Foxy Brown and Trek emphasizes that even though he’s a nice guy, he’s going after what he wants by any means. He segues into the Supanatra produced track Speed Up, which is Trek’s call to anyone in his way to get out of it. Fun and thumping with super bass, Speed Up is a winner. Trek doesn’t leave the ladies out with This Is For You and In The Zone. Both produced by Billionaire Boyscout, both songs are fun and sexy for a ladies night out.

Average samples the late and great Notorious B.I.G. and Trek shows off his flow to assure us that he’s “sicker than your average”. Came Up, also produced by Supanatra is for anyone following their dreams against all odds and naysayers and Trek shows us his “no more Mr.Nice Guy” side. Produced by The Audio Unit, NGFF ends with bonus track and love song Engine #9 and is definitely a “fun love song for Hip-Hop”.

It’s evident that Trek Manifest believes in his craft. Nice Guys Finish First proves that it takes time and dedication to present a solid project. NGFF can be downloaded and purchased at trekmanifest.bandcamp.com. Be on the lookout for Trek Manifest, he’s far from disappointing. “Homie ya heard, marathon not a sprint, mark my words / finally a nice guy who finished first”.
